Although the renovation of the SEAS Library was to remain within the existing footprint, the impact and usefulness of the space were to be radically transformed.  Within the context of historic Towne Building, the library was to open up to the adjoining Corridor to attract students to the new facilities. Planned for a diversity of learning formats, the renovation included an Electronic Classroom, Lounge seating, Group Study Rooms, and quiet table and carrel seating.
