This 5000 square foot new house was built on an open, ten acre site which slopes down to two streams.  The inherent privacy of the site and the client’s desire to live in close contact with nature resulted in a house that is almost transparent.  Many of the same materials were used on the inside and outside and a series of outdoor rooms extend the house out into the landscape.  The first floor, which was designed for extensive entertaining, is virtually one room, defined into many smaller areas by stucco covered piers, coffered ceilings and floor patterns.
