The area surrounding the stair at Drexel’s main library was a windowless conference room that allowed no light into the stair or stacks beyond.  Purdy O’Gwynn was asked to convert this space into a series of study rooms that flooded the interior with light and provided for a variety of study configurations - from quiet retreats to working in pairs and small groups.
